Courtney's Bridal Fashion Session / Little Rock / Arkansas Wedding Photography

Courtney selected some of Arkansas's most historic places for her wedding and reception.
We met up with her earlier this spring to capture her bridal portraits at these great spots.
1st Presbyterian Church was built over 100 years ago. The rock of the church still stands today. From there we went to Trapnall Hall - the former Governor's mansion....

Courtney's dress was reflective of her style ...
Elegant and classy ...
Eclectic and nostalgic . . .

We enjoyed spending the day with her and her family ...
We were so pleased with the bridal session -- and have been anxiously awaiting to share them with you...
They loved them -- and hope you do, too...

Isn't she gorgeous???
THOSE EYES !!!
Hey -- PandM followers --
This is an "A" shot !!!

The lighting and the mirrors made for some terrific shots --And you all know how Bill loves mirrors --

PSYCH -- This shot is "A's" -- I'm learning from the master of reflection and light !!

Another pose that many photographers use -- but it is so awesome and stunning --- and takes a great camera and lens to help get it this soft look just right...

"A's" fav shot of the day...
Bill happened to catch Courtney as she was looking up to talk to me as I directed her for some shots... And the light on her face was perfect... Another photo straight out of the camera... REALLY !!

The organ in the church is so awesome. Just look at the pipes... Courtney wanted to make sure we had them in some of her portraits....

Here's a "2" photographer shot...

Bill's... capturing her dimples and got a great eye shot, too...

Mine to show the full dress...

"A's" fav shot of the day...

OK - I was a gypsy in my previous life -- I LOVE jewelry -- all kinds -- all shapes -- all sizes... And when Courtney showed up with this pearl and crystal bracelet that her "girls" had gotten for her -- well I fell in love with it ... And Bill captured it PERFECTLY !! I love this!!

Another room at Trapnall Hall -

And here's another great Bill shot -- he captures the ring in such unique ways.... this one pulls the viewer's eyes to the ring -- then the broach on the dress up to Courtney's eyes... Great composition!!

The garden outside Trapnall ...

Another "2" photographer shot...

Courtney poising for me .... BILL's shot...

And mine taken at the same time....

The stairs made for some great images...

I love "motion" shots -- where the main image is softly focused and has a touch of blur around the edges.

The entrance at Trapnall...
And yet another "2" photographer shot...

Bill's....
And mine -- such a reflective shot...
The "great" -- literally "great" windows at Trapnall made for great "back of the dress" portraits ... and the wood floor allowed for some reflection....

And we close with our bride --

Thanks to Courtney, family, and friends for their help in making such a great bridal session....

Courtney and Wes - The Day After / Little Rock / Arkansas Wedding Photographer

Well ...
You have to love it when I put in 10 pm vs 10 am to upload :(
OOOPPPS !!

So --
We will leave this one up for Thurs., too....
And add the Bridal and Engagement on Fri and Sat...
Got to

We are often asked if we do the "day after" shoots with our couples.
Sure -- we love to do that if they aren't leaving right away for ...
Fun in the sun . . . etc...

And when we do this -- we like to add a bit of "drama" and "sultriness"... Yes, I'm making up new words... But it fits...

We met up with Wes and Courtney at the Capitol Hotel...
And then traveled about town --
Our Cowboy and his "Gal"....

The wind was blowing and added to the "model-esque" tone of the shoot....
So future brides --
Ask us abou the day after shoots !!
WE LOVE THEM ...

And here's why!!

The look on Wes's face says it all....

Sneak peak in the elevators at Capitol Hotel...

Words fail me.....

Girls, don't we ALL want our guys to look at us like this .... YES !!

The boots lead you into this photo --- and your imagination does the rest...

On the balcony at the capitol...

Ah.... the wind....

Our Cowboy --- waiting on his gal...

Our Cowgirl... strikin' a pose...

Bill's shot --- as usual -- he caught the emotion and the essence of the mood of this shot...

I love how Courtney rested her head on Wes's shoulder -- and her look is so soft -- yet so sexy, too...

Our "2" photographer shot...

"A's" shot...

And Bill's...

And our final shot to share....

We want to thank Wes and Courtney for this great session!!

We had a great time Saturday and are soooo honored to be a part of your day...

Stay tuned for their engagement and bridal portraits...

Courtney and Wes / Little Rock / Arkansas Wedding Photography

We met Courtney at Jason and Kristin's wedding last year...
When she and Wes got engaged -- she called us right away to reserve her date.
And what a great day it was....

We worried about rain - but it held off all day... And join us tomorrow so that you can see the wind swept "day after" "sultry" shoots from this shoot !!!

We were so touched by this couple...
Wes is so sensitive and caring... Yet loves to have fun...
Courtney ... so laid back and classical ---

When Wes talks about Courtney - it just makes my heart leap -- he has so much love in his voice and tone ... So open and honest about how he feels about his new wife.

Courtney just lights up when she shares her stories about her handsome new husband...

We will be featuring their story all week...
Their engagement, Courtney's bridal at the historic sites of their wedding sites:
1st Preb church (over 100+ years old) and Trapnall Hall - the former governor's mansion - now a part of the historic Quapaw district...

So --
Here's to the wedding day....

ENJOY !!

One of all of our fav shots of the day...
The smile on Courtney's face says it ALL!!

Trapnall hall is such a great old building...

Lots of light and lots of history...

The grounds were in full spring color and we were able to take full advantage of it...

A shot of the building and the huge oaks that surround the grounds.

Here's all the "something old, new, borrowed, and blue" things Courtney carried with her.

All of her bride's maids are now married -- Courtney is the last of the 4 to "get hitched"...

I wanted to show this special time for them by focusing on the rings of each of the girls...

Don't you love the ring set on this special saying, "love bears all things"...

The cake tasted as good as it looked !!

Seth joined us for the wedding and shot some video and took some random shots...

Isn't this one great ... Courtney and he were talking -- and Seth snapped this great shot...

I followed the girls as they got ready...

Sipping the "special OJ" with the girls....

Ask Courtney about opening champagne...

Our handsome groom --

Getting ready...

"A's" FAV SHOT OF THE DAY ...

Wow -- Bill often gets silhouettes of the bride -- and they are great -- and with that thought this one of Wes is sooo... breathtaking...

Looking out on the city from this historic church ...

And the couple see each other for the 1st time...

Here's what great light -- a professional camera --- and fast glass -- and Bill's talent gets you... Shots like this ----- NO ALTERATIONS -- NO ADJUSTMENTS -- STRAIGHT out of the camera... Photos like this are why you want to hire professionals for your special day... Isn't this stunning !!

I love the look on Wes's face as he hugs Courtney for the first time....

BILL's FAV shot of the day....

The colors ... the look ... perfection...

One of my fav poses...

I know -- every photographer takes this shot -- but I just love the look and the mood this pose creates...

Another great Seth portrait...

Here's our 3 photographer shot...

Seth's on the left

Bill's on the top right

And all taken while the girls posed for "A" and her photo on the bottom right.

I love this soft look -- the old time-y feel of the grain...

The look that Courtney and her Dad exchanged right before he gave her away was priceless... You can see the tears and the emotion during the moment...

Don't you love the bracelet that the girls gave Courtney to wear...

And our ring bearer that didn't like the camera ... Bill caught him off guard and got a great pic of him...

Our couple and their attendants in the garden outside the church...
Yes -- there is a story behind this pic .... And we aren't sharing !! LOL!!

Got to love it when they are "double shooting" !!! 2 cameras at once !!

And our couple leaves....

Stay tuned tomorrow for more of the Courtney and Wes story...
